Reframing the Wild explores the relationships between humans, animals and artworks from 1750 to 1950, drawing on Wolverhampton’s collections of animal paintings, photography, hunting traps and decorative art objects.

The exhibition asks: ‘How have humans shaped understandings of the wild through artworks and how have animals contributed towards artworks?’

The exhibition is co-curated with staff from the University of Birmingham's Department of Art History, Curating and Visual Studies and the University of Leicester.
